Circle of Caring Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression/Anxiety Support Group Program

March 28th and April 4th, 2017
Thank you for your interest in providing support groups for women with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and being an important part of the Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders Safety Net.
The Postpartum Resource Center of New York’s Circle of Caring Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression/Anxiety Support Group Program advanced training of two 8 hour sessions will be hosted on Tuesday, March 28th and Tuesday, April 4th at Village of Islandia Town Hall, 1100 Old Nichols Road, Islandia, NY 11749.
This training is for the community agencies/health centers and supporters who are interested in offering the Postpartum Resource Center of New York’s Circle of Caring Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression Support Groups.
The Circle of Caring Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression Support Group Program is an 8 to 12 session program providing emotional support, psycho-education and coping tools for empowerment for women and families experiencing a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.
The Training objectives include:
Experienced Group Facilitators to gain knowledge and understanding of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and to gain knowledge of the Circle of Caring Support Group Program in order to offer a support group to the community they serve.
For Group Facilitators to gain understanding and knowledge of program set up and implementation to provide the Circle of Caring Support Group Program in their community by reviewing and practicing the Circle of Caring curriculum. Includes review of program set-up, publicity, weekly curriculum, printed and video materials and resources.

The Postpartum Resource Center of New York's Circle of Caring Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression/Anxiety Support Group – Advanced Facilitator Training, will take place on Tuesday, March 28th and Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 ♦ 9am – 4pm at the Village of Islandia Town Hall, 1100 Old Nichols Road, Islandia, NY 11749.
Registration Fee (lunch provided): $300 per registrant
