Moms, Dads, and Families
PERINATAL MOOD AND ANXIETY DISORDER
Why do I care?
“Why do I care? Why do I care about mothers who experience suffering, grief and despair when they should be experiencing joy and happiness on the birth of a beautiful new baby? Why do I care about mothers that I don’t know, that may come from different backgrounds than I do, that may never know my name? Because I am one of them; because I know their pain and share their grief and despair. Because I lived it and I don’t want any other new mother to live it. That’s why I care.”
— Mary, a postpartum depression survivor and a
volunteer at the Postpartum Resource Center of New York.
You may not know Mary, but you have something in common with her — you care about moms, dads and families at risk for or experiencing a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, including postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis.
You also want to make sure that these moms, dads, and families get to the help they need. Your tax-deductible gift to the Postpartum Resource Center of New York makes that possible.
Join us today to help raise funds for the vital programs and services of the Postpartum Resource Center of New York and our Vision, Project 62 – Building and Strengthening Perinatal Mental Wellness Parent Support Networks and Safety Nets in all Sixty-two New York State counties.
When you make your donation, you can also do so in honor or memory of a loved one.
