Project 62™ – Rockland
The Better Baby Care Campaign Behavioral Health Sub-Committee is focusing on increasing
awareness and access to care for Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders in Rockland County
Mission: To increase awareness and improve access to care for Rockland County moms, dads and families at risk for or experiencing a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.
Vision: Building and strengthening in Rockland County Perinatal Mental Wellness Parent Support Networks and Safety Nets in Rockland County.
By offering prevention programs, screening and awareness campaigns, education and trainings, the Postpartum Resource Center of New York's Circle of Caring pregnancy and postpartum depression/anxiety support groups, as well as collaborations to increase treatment and support services — we will together be better able to help save lives and build healthy families for vibrant New York communities now and for generations.
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders are the number one medical complication related to having a baby. When they are left undetected, untreated and undertreated they may have devastating consequences for moms, dads, families and communities.
Every year over 100,000 New York State families will be affected by a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.
If you are interested in getting involved and would like to join the Project 62 – Rockland, please let us know. All are welcome.
