Support Group Program
Note: This page is for registration of employees of Public Health Solutions who will be attending our Circle of Caring training.
The Postpartum Resource Center of New York’s Circle of Caring Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression/Anxiety Support Group Program – Advanced Facilitator Training will be hosted on Thursday, March 12th and Friday, March 13th from 9am – 4pm each day. The training takes place at Public Health Solutions, 40 Worth Street, 5th Floor, Conference Room 5.2 /5.3.
This training is for the community agencies/health centers and supporters who are interested in offering the Postpartum Resource Center of New York’s Circle of Caring Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression Support Groups.
Please Note: This course has been approved by Postpartum Support International (PSI) as an advanced 3rd day training towards Certification in the Affiliated track for PSI's Perinatal Mental Health Certification.
The Training objectives include:
Experienced Group Facilitators to gain knowledge and understanding of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and to gain knowledge of the Circle of Caring Support Group Program in order to offer a support group to the community they serve.
For Group Facilitators to gain understanding and knowledge of program set up and implementation to provide the Circle of Caring Support Group Program in their community by reviewing and practicing the Circle of Caring curriculum. Includes review of program set-up, publicity, weekly curriculum, printed and video materials and resources.
